Now Then, Take Your Last Bow!

Saturday night... the last show. Kind of bittersweet in a way. It's taken two months to get to that point and suddenly, you're standing on the stage with people clapping at you. Hm. Makes time seem a whole heck of a lot shorter doesn't it?

I thought so. I saw that agreement in your eyes. Don't lie to me.

And then there was the...

CAST PARTY!

However, going ons at cast parties are classified.
So you don't get to know. Ha.

But tomorrow is strike. And we have to tear that beautiful, amazing set apart. Such a pity.

Note: It's daylight savings time tonight/tomorrow. We're "falling back", which means an extra hour of sleep for everyone! Hoorah!

Opening Night!

We opened! We finally did! (It took two months, but we made it :D )

No mishaps, no (truly) broken legs and everyone went home with a smile on their face!

But excuse me, I happen to have lots of homework to complete.

When You Miss Your Breakfast Cuppa, Mtn Dew is the Next Best Thing

This morning boarders had rolling check-in. Yeehaw! Which means we don't have to be there for assembly... we just roll in before 8:20.
However, fire drills ruined this lovely, lovely day! (At 6:25...) I wake up at 7:20 on a normal day... I lost a full hour of sleep. It was even more irksome because I woke up in the end of the fourth stage.

Translation: I was exhausted. Hoorah. So I tried to go back to sleep and succeeded. I then proceeded to sleep through my alarm and miss breakfast. No coffee. :(

During my second period free, I ran back to my dorm. What did I grab? Mtn Dew, of course.

Oh you 55.5 mg of caffeine, I sure did need you!

Update: The mountain dew worked for about 3 hours. Thankfully, there was no crash. I'm not sure if I should be worried that the mountain dew isn't lasting very long...

Tonight's rehearsal for The Visit was looooooong. And I am now tired. But I cannot sleep yet! Oh no I cannot! I still have poetry to work on...

Tonight We Dine In... Forbes?

How stunningly anti-climactic.
But here we go again! Today is the beginning of run week for "The Visit", the fall play for the academic year of 2010-2011. Party? Possibly.

The Visit, for those poor souls who don't know, is a show set in Germany. When? We don't exactly know (we're assuming it's the early to mid 1900s). But it's about Claire Zachanassian's return to her home town of Gullen. She has becoming disgustingly rich while her hometown has become... disgustingly... poor.
Long story short. They want money, she says, "yes of course... one condition"... yada yada. Her condition is to kill the father of her illegitimate child. (His denial of the case caused her to be kicked out of the town without a penny.) The town tries to deny it, but start buying everything on credit, thinking that SOMEONE will do it! No one does... things get desperate.

Come see it.

...But I just got out of rehearsal. *sigh* Rehearsing makes you tired, especially when you can't rub the tiredness off your face.

Why can't you rub tiredness off your face? I mean... you can... but you risk smudging the expertly applied STAGE MAKEUP!

I was made to look around 60. I was looking hot. Oh yea, h-o-t. But it took about 5 minutes to get off... not bad as makeup goes, but still irritating.

Anyways... gotta go to the land of sleep, do it all again tomorrow.

Happy Halloween! Welcome!

Oh goodness, this is the third blog (or fourth, but who's counting?) that I have created. But no matter. I am dedicated to this one, indeed I am.

No honestly, I promise you'll hear more than you want to about me. Pity, right? I thought so. And maybe you'll find out about this blog, or maybe you won't. I hold all the power *maniacal laugh track plays*.

Why does "mtn dew" (the name as printed on the can I am caressing... lovingly...) make the world go 'round? Because out of coke, diet coke, dr. pepper, pepsi, and sunkist, it has THE MOST CAFFEINE. Yes, that's right, 55.5 mg of caffeine per 12 fl oz. Second place is diet coke, with 46.5 mg. Isn't that simply divine?

Divine. Caffeine is divine. Welcome to the beginning of my junior year.

It's gonna be a blast.
